3H Students took some time to reflect on MLK's life, work, and leadership in creating change. We watched some videos that gave us information about his years growing up as well as how he actively led the Civil Rights Movement. We discussed the many themes that came through in his work, and how we continue his legacy today. Students participated in a "chalk talk" where they silently wrote about their thoughts of some of MLK's quotes and ideas. We then watched an animated poem about acceptance, cooperation, and differences that helped connect some of MLK's messages into our own lives. Take a look at the videos and songs we experienced.
